2020 was a crazy year, especially because of COVID. But a lot of things have changed, from algorithms to people going after companies like FB from being a monopoly, to voice search controlling roughly 50% of the searches in the United States according to Comscore. But 2020 is over, what’s going to happen in 2021? Is the new privacy policy of Apple for cookies will end digital marketing ?

What is the new algo , Where is the Problem ?

Problem started after the new update came for ios 14. Where in the update has given rights to users if they want to give permission to track their activity across other companies website or apps.User was given rights to allow or disallow.

But 2020 is over, what’s going to happen in 2021? Is the new privacy policy of Apple for cookies will end digital marketing ?

What are the new law of Digital Marketing?

So, probability is that most of the people are going to disallow it as they would not like to share their data . However this act of the user will stop Facebook to show correct and relevant ads to the user. This will impact small , medium entrepreneurs who have low budgets for advertisement. As this will bring sales down as the conversions will be down due to vague tracking.

The fundamentals of marketing 

Since the advent of marketing from ancient times ,  we have seen lots of ups and downs. Small entrepreneurs use to advertise their local area by hoarding or by billboards . Small and medium enterprises use to advertise their product or services in newspapers , radios and magazines. Such traditional mediums of advertising cost a huge amount as the output was not precisely measurable. But to reach a huge number of prospects , the traditional methods are best suited. Digital marketing gives an edge over traditional methods where the output results are not measurable.

So , businesses used marketing as a tool to propagate the knowledge about their products and services to the public. The whole game of generating revenue or gaining business depends on the quality of product or the service that a business is selling. If the product is good then marketing just gives the boost and product selling become superfluous.

Now , we understand that the growth of a business totally depends on the quality of the product or services and good initial marketing. The quality decides the growth or the decline of a business and not marketing. Marketing is just the perception.

This gives a glimpse that in the developing country like India , the future of Digital Marketing is a safe career.
